Clearly, you weren’t seeing what I was seeing. That girl fucking rocked Gunpowder & Lead. Do you know how many people cover that song and absolutely fail? She has the fire, she has the voice, she has the mindset, she has it. She understands. And she’s better than Raelynn, in my opinion, although I am excited to see what kind of career she makes for herself.
Personally, I think we need a lot more modern outlaw country women and less Taylor Swift-eternal-14-year-old fairy-tale-princess bullshit. Country music used to be full of tough women. Loretta, Emmylou, Dolly. We need that back.
